This week started out with a with quite a hard bit of riding: Sunday was basically the worst thing ever. Heat pounding down, and a 20 mile an hour headwind cut my Sunday MS150 miles to 25, leaving me a grand total of 75 miles for this years ride. I was also able to ride one time to work, for a decent chunk of miles ridden this week. Now, to the rest of the summer.

Week 12: The big weekend!
Well, it's here!
I'm in the middle of the MS150 as I write this, with the first day being completed.
I managed 51 miles today, and have 75 more tomorrow, though I HIGHLY doubt I'll get it, the temps are expected to be excessive, and I a totally worn out from today. However, I want to at least get to what I rode last year, so I need 33 miles, which may be doable.

Week 10: Closing the gap
I am a mere two weeks away from the big ride, and I don't feel anywhere close to ready. I really need to get in at least 40 miles in the next week just to make sure I can, but my body is resisting the entire way. Hopefully I'll be able to push my way through it, and continue riding the rest of the summer!

Week 9: Motivation status:low
This week was tough. I wasn't feeling 100%, and I had access to a car to get to work, so it was easy to say "oh, I have my car today, I can just drive, and finish this one last thing before I head out." Naughty self, naughty!
Next week, I have a goal of 50 miles, we'll see if I manage that. I really need to kick it into high gear, the MS150 is only a couple of weeks away. Speaking of which...

Week 8: Keep on Truckin'!
This week, I did well, riding to work three and a half days, and a couple of extra trips as well!

Week 7: All the miles are belong to me!
This was a great week for me! I managed to ride to work for four of the five days, and a tiny bit after the fact as well. It muchly made up for last week, when I didn't ride AT ALL>.< Vacation made me super unmotivated.

Week 5, same as the last
Another crappy week, weather wise, kept me from riding as much as I wanted. I still managed to get two rides to work, and one ride home, for a total of twelve miles ridden last week.
This week, I hope to get a ton of riding in, since I'm on vacation, woo-hoo!
We'll see how well I manage to stick to that.

Epic fail, self...epic fail
This week, I did really poorly on my riding. I biked to work twice, and Joe picked me up on the second day, since it was a rainy and gross.
Next week, I shall do better, and hopefully it will include some weekend riding, which I have been slacing HARDCORE on.

Working 9 to 5...
Another week gone by, another four days of biking to work.
I skipped Monday, it was threatening to rain, but none turned up.
Friday was the hardest day of biking, I hadn't ridden four days in a row since last summer, so the big hill went like this:
ME: Legs, pedal faster!
LEGS:NO!
And thus, I walked for about a block up the hill. Not happy about that, but I'm thinking it should get easier as the weeks go on.
And lastly, another call for my MS150 Donation account: Click here! My goal for this year is $700, which would bring my 4 year total to $2000!

Baby, it's cold outside
I'm just finished week two of my training for the MS 150, and again, the weather messed up my plans, some more.
My current plans are to ride to work ever day-that's four miles there, four back, for 40 miles a week. I also plan to ride on the weekends, at least ten miles, hopefully more, with a goal of adding five miles each weekend. Unfortunately, the cold, rainy weather has really messed with my plans, both last week and this week, so I didn't hit my goals, but I did get some riding in.
I managed to ride to work twice this week(thanks for taking my car to work, babe, it's a great motivator!), and made one trip to Target--I love that it's so close to my house!
